About me

I’m Lili, a 25 year old from Budapest- Hungary.
My ‘grown up’ life mainly started after high school when I applied for universities abroad and, luckily, I got into most of them. I always wanted to study abroad, probably because I wanted to follow in my brother’s footsteps, who moved to London after finishing high school. During his stay in London, I visited him every 2 months and, also stayed there for the summer. Despite the weather, which usually ruins the ‘reputation’ of London, I fell in love with the city; however, I knew I would not be able to study there due to the crazy lifestyle. Throughout my stay in London, I got to know new brands and also got to understand how style represents one person. I fell in love with street style and slowly started to educate myself more and more in fashion, just as a hobby. My brother and my family started to surprise me with the best fashion books available and my love towards fashion grew closer to my heart than anything else. From being a tomboy (which I still am a bit), I started to dress more chic – I still kept my edgy style – and at the age of 16 I started my ‘adventure’ to find my own style which took quite a few years. While looking back at my old closet certainly wouldn’t impress me, it would make me think ‘why’?.

There is no exciting story behind the name of the blog, it is actually my own name. I like the sound of it and I thought it would be nice to keep it and get known for it. This is just the beginning, and I do not know what it may or may not bring, but I hope you will enjoy it! I dream big, I always did and thus I hope this blog will open up new doors and great opportunities. My dream is to be able to work with some of my favourite brands, designers and one day turn this whole thing into a business and also start my own fashion line.

Please ignore the mistakes I might make in English and feel free to express your opinions whether it be negative or positive. At the end, all critiques are constructive criticism!

With love,
Lili

In 2012, I finally had to decide which university to go to, I picked one in Scotland because I always had problems with concentration; therefore, Scotland was just the perfect choice to concentrate on growing up, studying, and working. I spent 4 years there, working as a stylist in a high end shop while also completing my studies in Events Management.

After 4 years, I moved back to Hungary, enjoyed a long and free summer then started working at a PR company. Although I wanted to start my blog many years ago, I waited for the right time to come. Working in PR allows me to get a wider view into the ‘Hungarian blogger field’ which eventually made me realise that I wanted to start my own. There are many amazing Hungarian blogs out there; however, I was not convinced by the quality and the content of most of them. I am more into personal style blogs- blogs that truly represents one person’s style and provide a picture of a person without having to write thousands of words within a posts. I love weird and I love special. I do not dress for any trends, I do accept that there are styles that I absolutely love, however, it would not suit me, so I don’t force it. The blog aims to introduce you to my style, my brother’s style and some interior ideas, tricks and hacks. Having an interior designer mom surely puts the ‘pressure’ on me to be up to date in the field and learn as much as possible.
